We have been working with two artists, Neil Musson and Jono Retallick, on Halton’s cultural heritage project, ‘Celebrating Halton’. The final part has been to celebrate cheese making in the local area. As part of this work we visited Appleby’s dairy, the last place making Cheshire cheese in the traditional way. An exhibition is to be mounted at St Marie’s, Widnes, to celebrate this rural industry. I’m sure you’ll find it both interesting and informative. The end of the project will be celebrated by eating the cheese! Please book a place for this final event by emailing Ruth Darling (ruth.darling@me.com). Why don’t you come along?
