Stanley John de Prez was born in 1920. His parents were Harry and Alice (nee Baker) who were both born in 1886. He had a brother called Henry Pierre b1918 who also served in the armed forces and a sister called Joan M b1915. The family lived at ‘Holmfield’, Runcorn Road.
After leaving school, Stanley became an apprenticed joiner. During WW2 he served in the army.
Stanley married Edna Billington in 1924. She was a well known local historian. They had one son.
Stanley died in1979. At the time he and Edna were living in Daresbury. She died five years later.
