Norman Henry Lightfoot

Henry, was born on the 4th January 1872 in Preston on the Hill, being the son of George and Emma (nee Dean) Lightfoot. Father George was a railway platelayer, who had been born in Preston Brook, whilst Emma had been born in Middlewich.

Henry two older brothers, Samuel (b. 1842 in Aston, PB), William (b.1867 Preston Brook) and George born 4 years younger (b.1876 Preston Brook).

Henry got married on the 21st September 1897 to Priscilla Basnett at the Parish Church in Halewood, Lancashire.
By the 1901 Census they had a young son Thomas Henry who was 9 months old, he was born on the 27th September 1900. They were then living at Sunnyside cottages in Preston on the Hill.
Henry by this time was working as a warehouse porter.

Come the 1911 Census they were living down the hill in Rosemount, Preston Brook.
Henry served as a Methodist church steward and a Sunday School Teacher.

Henry died at the age of 66 on the 23 September 1938 at Rosemount, Preston Brook.
Priscilla passed away on the 17th January 1958 still living at Rosemount.
Son, Thomas Henry died in January 1972 at the age of 71.
